I called to check if a particularly property I saw online was still available. Was told by Antony in a "couldnt care less" tone that it wasnt. I asked for alternatives and was "commanded" to ring him back as soon as I have looked at the information that he would send by email. The email contained the commnication chain of a previous customer. Some people do not deserve to be employed....Was this review helpful? Yes

Pretty awful service. The only reason that this is not one star is that one girl was very helpful sorting out the inventory after we moved in. The original agent was very apathetic. Took him over a month to reference check us and got annoyed with us chasing it up, even though it was only supposed to be 5 working days. It's a long time to hold bond and fees without a contract. The agent didn't point out things like our property was on prepaid electricity (apparently he didn't realise) and could not tell us what came with the flat, which is basic knowledge for an agent surely. Finally got a copy of an old inventory almost 5 years old. Much of the stuff had gone (poor landlord!) and when the inventory was updated, things like stained duvets, pillows and bed linen and broken electrics that the previous tenants had dumped had been added to the new inventory. Also they charge you a fee to renew your lease (

I had a fantastic experience with Atkinson McLeod - and I had been to many other awful estate agents previously! Ria at the Kennington branch was honest, friendly and very helpful - especially as I was a bit of a tricky customer having a dog in tow! She found me exactly what I was looking for and put no pressure on me at all, I have also recommended them to a friend and Ria also managed to find her a lovely flat too.

Our experience of Atkinson Mcleod was brilliant. We were shown a great property in Feb this year, we made an offer on the spot and after AM's help and a little bit of haggling our offer was accepted. There was a long time until exchange though as our mortgage fell through and we got another, plus several other complicating factors. But Jed, Atkinson Mcleod's sales rep, was great and very patient throughout. Thank you Atkinson Mcleod!

The team at Atkinson Mcleod were very approachable, friendly and helped us find the best 2-bed flat in Balham where we were really happy for two years. If we still lived in the area, we'd definitely use them again.

Atkinson Mcleod are first class, I explained to Gareth my needs and he came up trumps. What I liked so much it that he listened to all my specifications and I got what I wanted. I will recommend AM to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work guys.

I recently bought a property through the Balham branch. The agent I delta with proved to be consistently honest and straight forward with his approach. Estate agents tend to have a bad reputation but in this case my faith was restored. I would happily use and recommend Atkinson

I have used Atkinson McLeod to let many properties for a number of years and have found them to be an excellent agency. The staff have been great to deal with and in recent months have done incredibly well letting many properties very quickly. I have also found the lettings manager both professional and accommodating and under his leadership the staff are very proactive I would not hesitate to recommend them to other Landlords.

The service was exceptional with the apartment being let within a few days. The admin to do with the let was handled efficiently and effectively. First class service and would definitely recommend them if you have an apartment to let in this area.

I would highly reccomend Atkinson Mcleod. The help and support they have given me as an overseas landlord has been fantastic. They have dealt with removal of difficult tenants on my behalf and have organised a variety of contractors to carry out works for me at reasonable rates.

What I liked most about the agency was having made an offer on my flat they immediately stopped showing property. Whilst previous agencies I've dealt with deliberatley try to get you into a bidding war with others, to drive up prices and contract lengths. I was happy with the service overall. I dealt with Luke in Balham, who was very polite and professional. There was some delays in signing contract due to landlord being away and not contacting agency, which was little stressful. Flat was very clean and tidy on move in.

I gave them my flat, left the country, and told them that if I don't come back by a certain date to rent the flat. They sorted out everything and I just received my rent paid into my account on the date that I've requested. I am pleased with the level of professionalism exhibited here thusfar and would recommend them readily. Thank you Ria and Dan!

In a nutshell I was more then happy with the service provided by Atkinson mcleod. I delt with Katherine at the south quay branch and found her to be helpful and professional. As with all moves there are slight hiccups but this is to be expected. I have reccomended to my colleagues and friends and would certainly use again.

There qas a bit of miss communication between estate agent and land lady. Was not as clean as we hoped when moving and had no hot water for the first 2 days - all down to previous tenants not sharing information and not telling the truth on having a professional cleaner coming in!
All in all I would use them again as with previous estate agents it has taken much longer from viewing to moving!
Bit of a sting on the admin fee, but witha bit of pushing we got everything done in time to move in onb the day we wanted!

Sam was extremely helpful and i was very happy with the level of service from this branch. I was looking to move quickly as i was left in a difficult situation with my previous landlord/agency and Atkinson Mcleod made this move as stress free as it could have been on their part. Their website was up to date so that the property i wanted to view was actually still availiable as many i had been contacting had already let the places on their websites and this was a welcome relief.
Also it was good to have somebody go through our contract with us so we understood it, as this was not done at my previous agency, and we had problems becasue of it. Sam was availiable on the telephone or email throughout the whole process to guide me through which was good, and the agencey worked to our short time frame quickly and efficiently. Recently moved into Baltimore Wharf and found Atkinson Mc Leod very helpful. I was mainly dealing with an Irish guy called Alan and also found the manager helpful too. Would highly recommend and would use again!!

I had an excellent experience with both Atkinson Mcleod and Simon the estate agent I dealt with in their City branch. I had to find and move into an apartment in very short notice (5 days) and they went the extra mile to find me a place I was very with and sorted all the paper work in time. They have been the best estate agents I have dealt with and I have dealt with a good few . I would certainly recommend them to others.

I was directed to this website by a friend, but only after I had put down my holding deposit. After reading some of the reviews I must say I was pretty worried; but for no reason. The service I recieved was first class and I would definitely use them again.

Received an email from Dan asking us to put a positive review on this site (made me laugh!). I would if the service wasn't rubbish. Flat wasn't cleaned when we moved in, lots of fixtures and fittings didn't work either - we had no working lightfittings in our loungeroom - took seven weeks for them to fix it (not to mention a few phone calls and emails every week until they did it).
Basically the problem we had was the condition of the flat - however once we moved in they didn't want to know us - was impossible to get anything fixed and its infuriating being lied to on the phone time after time.
Steer clear if possible.

Had no problems at all. The guy that sorted out are flat was polite and open about the flat, state of the market, what our budget could get us, etc.
We had a couple of problems with the flat during the course of our tenancy but they were all resolved quickly and efficiently with the property management team. Got our deposit back without a glitch and are now renting another flat (in a different part of London) through a different AM office.
Would use again and recommend without hesitation.
