   Attention Landlords! Please do not use AB, good, honest, debt free tenants such as my son and his family will not rent from this agent. They are inneficient, expensive and grossly unhelpful. Read the other reviews if you don't believe me.

   I let my property through this company and paid full management fees for which they did very little. I found the manageress to be both extremely rude and inefficient, The tennant cause some damage and whilst not major it was enough that I requested some of the deposit to be retained in order to repair the damage. They sent the deposit back to the tennant without getting my authorisation and without informing me until two week later. I certainly would not recommend AB to anyone, I was pre-warned from friends,family and colleagues not to use them, how I wish that I had taken their advice. I have now let my property through another agent and the whole experience has been better by 100%. They want a lot of money for doing very little.

   Do not recommend any other to this agency. I lived one year, not get any help from the agency, I asked for toilet flash problem, not get any positive response. They always blame landlord however they said its fully managed by the agency. End of my contact I moved to USA and they didn't return my deposit, however they send me a bill to clean up and decoration of flat which cost me my deposit. I felt totally unfair. Lots of my friends also not recommended this agency but I ignored them, now I understand I should have listened to them. I am totally unhappy :( Don't go.

   We found them expensive and unhelpful. It is sometimes difficult just to get a reply from them. I will try hard to avoid using them again.

   Never use these people!

   Saw a great place to rent, asked how we should go about securing the property - they said we pay the deposit - which we did. With a week left until we moved in, we had a call saying they had accepted a deposit from some other people, and would we like to increase our offer for the place?

   WHAT?! The place was supposed to be ours already! So annoyed at these ridiculous people, what a disgusting way of trying to weasel money out of people. So now we need to find a new place to live within a week. Thanks a lot Ashtons!

   Even if you're desperate, don't use them. I've had even worse experiences that Dave has.

   Don't be deceived by the "reasonable" rents - you'll get worse than no service (the runaround and eventually promises of work which never materialise). You'll be sorry if you do.

   Never ever use them. Just say no.

    If you rent through them and have a problem with anything in the house (i.e. boiler, fixtures, white goods) do not expect them to help. They never return calls, always have to be chased, try desperately to get you off the phone by giving noncommital answers to questions and most of the time ask you to sort out the problem yourself! what is the point in paying them money each and every month if they are not going to provide the service they are paid for?
