I have used Anthony Morgan for the last 5 years to look after my two properties, the properties have always remained occupied with good Tenants and i am very happy with our relationship.

Darren is an absolute disgrace. He has once again changed the compnay name to Morgan Fox but still the same old useless director who will be struck off as a director soon. Don't believe any of the positive posts on here or Darrens replies. Contact Hakan from the TDS if you want to know how many people have been ripped off. I too am a landlord who never received my rent from Darren and am now taking legal action against Morgan Fox. He doesn't insure any deposits or reference check the tenants. I would suggest popping round to his home address in Cambridge as he doesn't like that. Contact me if you want anymore details but do yourself a favour and pay a bit extra to use a quality estate agent and not some micky mouse cowboy.

I have used Anthony Morgan many times over the past 5 years to advertise my properties and find new tenants. I have only ever received a thoroughly professioinal service. Anthony Morgan looks after my entire portfolio of properties and has never let me down with the quality of tenant he has found for me. I receive my rents directly from the tenant and have always received the security deposits promptly from Anthony Morgan. I look forward to many more years of patnership with Anthony Morgan .

I have been a tenant and a landlord of Anthony Morgan and it is true to say that one month of my tenants money was held from me. I did not chase for the money instead changed my letting agent and never had a problem since with my rent being paid on time. As a tentant using Anthony Morgan money was transferred from my personal account into Anthony Morgan's Business Account, not straight into my landlords account as some of these posts suggest.
I had a very difficult time with my property being let by Anthony Morgan and I am still paying for things going wrong with my property a fews years on. My property was not looked after at all and I had to find out about things going wrong from official channels rather than the letting agent himself.

Excellent service. Darren is someone I would use again, both as a tenant and a landlord. From the start Darren knew exactly what my needs were, and he was determined to find me the perfect family home. As a prospective landlord as well, I would recommend Anthony Morgan every time, to take the headache out of what can be a time consuming task.

Darren has been my agent since August 2010. My tenant pays rent directly into my account. They have recently had financial problems and Darren has been most helpful in recovering back rent. The tenant is still in the property and I am sure that with Darrens help the problem will be resolved.

I have one property and this Agent acts as my managing agent, as suggested by the Agent the rent is paid direct to me from the Tenant, i have always found the agent to be professional and courteous and have been given the correct advice and guidance.
I must say I have no complaints and will continue with our relationship

WARNING to all prospective landlords and tenants.
I am a tenant and am thoroughly disappointed by Anthony Morgan, I feel ripped off for the dire service they provided.
1. I know that they didn't do a reference on me (lucky for my landlord that I do pay on time every month). 2. My tenant agreement was full of errors and took several times to get very basic corrections done. 3. Their inventory was so vague that neither party could relistically use it as a point of reference when I vacate the property. 4. A lastly my deposit wasn't registered with any protection scheme!
I paid a 100s of ££ for a service that was either not done professionally, not done at all or done illegally!! I haven't worked out if the terrible service that I received was incompetence or something far more sinister.

I am another landlord currently owed money by Darren Briggs. Furthermore, the claim by the ex-employee, that this man does not run the appropriate checks on potential tenants, rings true and my own experience would support this claim. He is very plausible and unfortunately it takes time to see through excuses and untruths.

Ive just dealt with Darren Briggs and found him straight,to the point and very easy to deal with.He was fast and efficient and bullxxxx free,a refreshing change in this day and age.I would have no problem in recomending him to anyone and I will.

I ment to rent a flat form AnthonyMorgan....which never come up...I paid more than £3000 for deposit around 6months ago...and now they are under voluntary liqudation....so I not sure what to do....how do get my depsit back from them...If anybody can help please do...

I have a couple of properties of which this Agent acts as my managing agent, as suggested by the Agent the rent is paid direct to me from the Tenant, i have always found the agent to be professional and courteous when the need arises, admittedly they are not always immediately contactable yet do receive a call back when a message is left.
i feel the agent to be recommendable and shall continue with our relationship

Hi, I'm also a concerned landlord who has a contract with Anthony Morgan. Since the start of the contract I have never been paid on time and constantly calling them every month for them to pay my rent. I never know when I'm going to be paid. I'm still awaiting my Dec and Jan rent. Since Jan I’m unable to get of anyone from Anthony Morgan, I now understand the company is now going into liquidation. What can be done for us to get our money we are owed? What can the police do?

I am an old employee of Darren Briggs. Mr Briggs is an absoulte disgrace of a human being, he will take your money and not forward it onto you, I used to witness this myself. Mr.Briggs would hide in the back of the office whilst landlords would refuse to leave the office because they owed months worth of rent. Mr.riggs never carried out any tennant checks on any of his tennents and would use whatever course needed to secure a deal, His wife Suzanne Briggs is also a director of this so called business, she is also a nasty piece of work.
Mr.Briggs fired me a day after finding out I was five months pregnant, I took Mr.Briggs to court and was awarded £8000, up to two years later I am still waiting for this money.
Darren, I hope you read this because you will pay me my money make no mistake on that, you took me for a fool, but I will have the last laugh,

Never came across unprofessional letting agent, if you speak to Darren Biggs stay way, he promises he will give your rent on time but this never happens, now the Anthony Morgan LTD UK has gone in liquidation but ‘Anthony Morgan Letting’ is still running, even though its Darren is the director of both company he is not paying two month rent he owes me, £2,400 in total . my tenant paid him the rent. Every time I call him to pay my money he cuts me off. He has no intension of paying my rent.
STAY AWAY FROM ANTHONY MORGAN or ANTHONY MORGAN LETTING, TOTAL Liars....

This agent is a disgrace. Naively thought that my risk would be with the tenant, not the agent.
How wrong! Tenant pays every month. Anthony Morgan doesn’t. Still owed almost £3k and am having to go through the small claims court to get this. DO NOT USE THIS AGENTWas this review helpful? Yes

Today is 17/01/12, I have not received any rent from december 2011. the first rent was supposed to be paid on the 15th of december and likewise every month. I have called ANTHONY MORGAN WALTHAM EBBEY BRANCH several time and is excuses upon excuses. Today I was told both rent that is december and January will be paid into my account by 4pm. its passed 5pm no money has been paid in my account. I have called the office before 5pm no one in the office. i donot know if this is how they operate. I am greatly disappointed in them. these tenant have paid thier rent why is ANTHONY MORGAN WALTHAM ABBEY not paying me?

I would never recommend anyone to let their propety out this Anthony Morgan, they gave me stress over the whole contract , I never would know if I would get the next month rent, and now the contract ended they still havent payed my rent for 2 month + I am still waiting for keys to my property which has been already 4 days!!
NEVER LET YOUR PROPERTY WITH THIS AGENT..............

We recently rented a property in Great Dunmow via the Waltham Abbey branch. The whole renting process was quick and easy with nothing being too much trouble for the Waltham Abbey branch. All questions were answered within 10 mins of us calling and it was nice to have them their waiting at the house with the keys on the day we move in. After dealing with other rental agencies Anthony Morgan so far outshines the others by miles. Its been really nice to have been treated as a client and not a second class citizen.

I am owed more than £8,000 by Anthony Morgan (UK) Ltd, ordered by a Judge in a County Court Judgement, which the directors continue to ignore. Before trusting them with your business, I suggest that you run a simple free credit check on Anthony Morgan (UK) ltd. A free WebCheck from Companies House will also confirm the names of the directors to be same for both companies. You might ask why Anthony Morgan (UK) Ltd doesn't have the funds to pay their debts, and why Anthony Morgan Lettings Ltd was incorporated in May 2011?...

Please NEVER use this company to manage anything more complicated than a bag of chips. Unless, of course, you have a property and want to rent it out for free, enabling another company to collect all the rent ( that is 100% commision).
They are particularly good and not answering emails or telephone calls when they owe you 6 months rent.
