The initial choosing of a flat and signing everything all seemed fine and staff we dealt with in person at both the Purley and Wallington branches seemed lovely (for some reason even though we dealt with the Purley branch for everything we had to trek to the Wallington branch to sign the contract). Initial fees etc seemed high.
We were told on signing the contract that if we provided bank details, as part of the service we had paid for in the fees, they would contact all the relevant utilities companies and set them and also council tax up by direct debit on our behalf. This was never done... (read more)

The adminisration at the High Barnet branch is appaling. When my tenants were looking to move and the contract changed to monthly, my money was never forwarded to me on time. When I complained I was told the accounts dept were 'busy' or they can only pay landlords on certain days. On one occaision I had to wait a whole month to get my money ( money that had always been paid promtly by my tenants to Andrews) Eventually I managed the property myself. The staff are trained to just be completely unhelpful to landlords and the tenants. they are only interesting in safe gaurding their interest (i.e) how much money they can get out it. Their customer service people in letting once they have taken over the property are not helpful and when they make mistakes they never agree to it. I had to literally chase up for the first 4 months to get the rent credited into my account properly.
I will never recommend anyone renting their property through Andrews Branch in Headington

Alex and James worked really hard to keep us reguklarly and frequently informed and pulled out all the stops to progress the chain in order to get the job done.

Tenants, please avoid Andrews at all costs. We are currently taking our complaint to the ombudsman. They failed to notify us that they'd changed their tenancy deposit scheme 6 months ago, despite being required to do so in 14 days. They allowed the landlord to evict us from the property by misusing a break clause, and we are now in a deposit dispute caused by the fact that they failed to properly complete the check out report. We have have also been waiting 6 weeks for the return of the undisputed amount of our deposit (almost £1000) which should have been returned to us immediately, and they have lied about why this was not promptly returned. They have been extremely rude and even deceitful at every juncture and cannot even manage to spell check their emails and letters, consistantly misspelling our names. Absolutely appalling service.

We used Andrews in Horley to purchase a property and to rent out an existing one so dealt with different people at the Horley branch. I can honestly say that their customer service is the best I have come across. They are geniunely nice, honest people that know their business and understand people's needs and concerns. Letting our house out was quick and to tenants we trust, and purchasing a new house was smooth and fast.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

This was my worst experience ever, I would not recommend them to anyone. Instead of helping you to find a new home, they just make your life more difficult. They never respond to emails, and never call you back as they promise, after they taken the money from you!!! Avoid this company and find a better one.

Worst letting agency ever ! Do not trust them. Moved out of flat that was left in PERFECT condition but was charged for removal a sofa that was not at address. Just wanted to keep some of my deposit. Will never let with them again. If you let with there baffons then be prepared to lose part of your deposit regardless how you leave the address. Clifton staff are the laziest good for nothing pen pushers I have ever dealt with. 10/10 for idiocracy, well done. Shame I can not award a zero.

I purchased a property through Andrews recently and found the service and support I received fantastic. Kate in particular was a great help and went out of her way to help the purchase go through - she sorted out communication problems with the vendor’s solicitor and mine and went out of her way to push the completion date. Even after the sale has gone through she has continued to support me with some of my queries and small problems.
Generally I found Andrews to be professional and that I was kept well informed throughout the purchase (much more so through them then my own solicitor). I also used them for mortgage advice and again found the advisor (Anna) to be very professional, helpful and she helped me secure a good mortgage.
I would gladly recommend Andrews (especially the harbourside branch) for assistance with purchasing a property and obtaining a mortgage.

Not happy that Andrews show such a lack in the management of the updating of contracts. I renewed my contract in April and still have not received the dually signed copy from my landlord.

After dealing with numerous incompetant estate agents, I found the customer service from Adam and Alisa at Andrews in Horley impeccable and second to none.
Will definitely recommend them to others.

Adam Charlton and his team at the Horley branch are excellent! Very helpful; professional; efficient and polite. Can't ask for a better agent. Their sales team are also excellent, as run by Alex White!

As a current tenant at one of their managed properties, they have provided terrible service. Impossible to get hold of to voice issues, consistently lie about "getting back to you". I have sent an email to their over-all customer service team and their only response was to subscribe me to their marketing mailing list.
I have been in one of their properties for nearly thirteen months and it *still* has issues that they assured me would be resolved before I moved in. Two examples on this are the fire alarm not functioning and the fence on the garden rotting.

Like many others, we have had a very unpleasant experience with Andrews Letting & Management. Almost a year ago we moved into a house that was supposedly clean. When we took photos & pointed out the filth (broken dishes in the cupboards, a hideously sticky toilet that was just plain scary, extraneous food items scattered in all the cupboards, a very congested loft space that we were supposed to have full access to, to name but a few of the issues) Andrews denied any responsibility saying that the landlord was to blame. I have been using Andrews estate agents in Putney now for in excess of three years to rent my flat. They have consistently been able to rent my flat quickly and efficiently and I would highly recommend them to everyone. Michelle & team are extremely helpful to deal with and are always responsive in a very friendly manner.

Absolute shambles, Managed service.. I ended up managing most of the issues myself directly with the tenant & have just sacked them - I'm in the process of seeking legal advice to claim back the fees which I had to pay for up front. Communication poor and not what stated in the marketing literature or by the Sales Guy, level of service VERY poor. Issues range from, slow responses, (3 weeks to reply to an e-mail), not reading information on the file & then proposing work be carried out by their contractors (when existing contract is in place). Damage done to my property due to one of their contractors lying about the work they'd done - no follow up with tenants regarding work completed - I discovered this on a visit to the property. Had to sack them as I ended up spending more time managing them than I would have managing the property & tenants myself!..

I am a professional landlord and use many agents in the Putney SW15 area. I would put Andrews Letting & Management at the top of the list for good customer service and following good business practices. I have always found they find me good tenants and they keep me updated of current or newly published rules of letting and regulations. I would 100% recommend Andrews Letting & Management in Putney if your looking to let your property or looking to rent a property. Keep up the good Customer Service Andrews!!!

We rented a house using Andrews as the agent, with Andrews collecting the rent and the deposit and the landlord carrying out any repairs. Be very wary of this arrangement as if there's a problem, then Andrews say contact the landlord, if the landlord then ignores the problems (which they did in our case) then you have no option other than citizens advice or the courts. In our case we had a faulty boiler from the start of the tenancy which took the landlord over 5 months to get fixed. I’ve been a tenant at Andrews Lettings and they are the worst estate agent I have ever used.
The fees are extortionate, right from the get go. Upon moving in day, Andrews hadn’t collected all the keys for the property so I turned up at the flat to find I didn’t have the deadlock key. I then had to wait to 4pm before they sent a locksmith out to break in. They promised to compensate me for this, this didn’t happen. The estate agent was pleasant at the best when we first met, yet we still decided to go forward renting the property. After this myself and the other tenants found ourselves being harassed by the estate agent to sort out out documentation as fast as possible or we would lose the house. This was after we had paid a holding deposit... This was the first mistake.. We realised later that we would receive no contact details to the landlord and have to deal directly with this estate agent.

Absolutely terrible, threatening to take away our deposit for marking to the walls which are general wear and tear after living there for 2 years. General marking around light switches etc. Then telling us that we have to redecorate even though the landlady has clearly stated that she will bring in professionals to do the job.
If anything would go wrong it would take them ages to even get back to you let alone resolve the problem, for example leaking radiators and fans that do not work and haven't been for the entire time we have been living there.
Will not ever use again will avoid them and will tell everyone else to do the same.
Terrible service, rude, anything to make money. Avoid at all costs.

Andrews letting agent had no interest in anything I had to say. I had to constantly chase them for information, which I never got most the time. When I had a dispute about my deposit they sided with the landlord without question and gave me no option but to settle for less than I was entitled to. Extremely bad customer service and couldn't care less attitude. I would never use them again and will tell everyone I know to avoid them at all costs

Staff in letting department have very poor customer service skills, and severe lack of communication. The entire letting process was carried out to an unprofessional standard, causing unnecessary stress to myself and Landlord. I will never use this company again, even if they had a house for sale that i wished to buy.

We have lived in this apartment for 7 months now, and for the first month we didn't have any hot water (in the dead of winter). They don't hire repairmen from in or near your hometown. For example the man who eventually managed to fix our boiler had to drive through the snow... all the way from Manchester. (We're from Sheffield)
All around the bottom of the shower had black mould - and we rang up so that someone could sort this out. They hired people who did such a shoddy job that the rubber sealant is now cracking and there is the same amount of mould as before.
