Just thought I'd hand this out as a warning. I worked with this company about 2 years ago, and I remember witnessing all these complaints, and on my FIRST DAY, an angry tenant barricaded the door and the police had to be called. Stupidly enough, this did not discourage me. Regardless though, a month later, I was gone.
I also witnessed one of them looking at the reviews and saying to the manager "Look at all these bad reviews!" and when it was brought to the attention of his partner, he suggests to start writing down good reviews about them. So yes, more than likely, any good comment... (read more)

They have done the same thing to me as many others on this place. Also the information given regarding Franciscan road is incorrect. There's no shop there by that name.
We should all be united in taking action against them.

Ambika Estate Agents have taken my rent and deposit and I never got the property, the office is always locked... After a detail search I have found out that they have invested the money in a new business. We need to take necessary action. We need to form a community to stop them.

I was shown a property that was great to me promised loads of things then paid my deposit their fee and first month of rent however when it came to signing the contract they kept saying the landlady is away and kept making excuses. The day of us moving they askd for our passpoorts and said landlady isn't responding to any phone calls so they cancelled and we had vans that we paid to move furniture and were forced to pay them.... We were then promised a refund and were given

Wow... I am so surprised at the level of service they provide. Its bordering on comical. I am disgusted at the way they promise the earth. I would never have gone to them if I read all the other reviews. Im not discusssing all the bad reviews on just on this site alone. There are many more if you look elsewhere. As a Landlord, I found they try and flood the properties with dodgy people who do not have the propper credentials or checks to move into the property. Absolute awful estate agents who don't properly vet the landlords whose property they let. Have had a stressful time in my property thanks to them.

They didn't pay me my deposit and they didn't pay the first month to my ex-landlord. Every single time that I was there to try to get my money, they told me to write my telephone number down and after nothing.
Don't waste your time with their promises. You are wrong, take legal actions ASAP.
If you have visited them to get what is yours and you saw people complaining. Don't think that you are an exception. If you are new in the UK and you don't know how to take legal actions against Ambika, I wrote below the place where you can contact to get information, it is in Balham only 2 tube stations from Tooting Broadway:

This company I am sure have either learnt from their mistakes or the other complains on this site are not genuine because I was given best advice and good tenants. I have found every one that I dealt with Ambika gave me very good response and honest answers. I sugest to those tenants or landlords whom you say have been let down by this company to contact them to rectify and solve the issues if they are still outstanding. I have found Ambika Very genuine and honest company.

I have a fabulous time dealing with these guy, I was very impressed with the professionalism and the pure courtesy which I got from the begin to the end of this stressful process. Thank you guys for making this an easy ride, I will defiantly use again in the near future and be happy to refer you to friends and family.

I am a landlord who has been cheated by this company who have never given me the money owed to me, falsified documentation, lied about family illnesses and blatantly refuse to now return any calls.
Do not do business with Ambika!!!!!!!

Lets be absolutely clear... the positive review below can only have been written by someone from Ambika Estate Agents. This company is run by crooks.
FACT: there are outstanding court rulings against this company that remain unpaid.
FACT: this company produces ILLEGAL tennancy agreements that are designed to prey on and extract money from vulnerable people.
FACT: this company is not registered with any reputable agents associations
FACT: the management of this company knowingly issue sheques that bounce.
The activities of this company border on criminal. Please contact trading standards and/or the police if you too have been ripped off by this company.

Ambika doing excellent customer service. they are managing my property last four years. i do not have any problem.
Now days most of the land lords giving diffrent price to diffrent estate agents. and try to make more money from the tenants.I think so real liars and crooks are the landlords now days because the rental marketing getting higher. every day they are changing the price and let you down the agents and tenants.

I am a landlord and Ambika have taken my tenants deposit and rent but have refused to pass this to me. They fail to meet promises and lie about their obligations. Use this company at your peril!

Ambika Estate Agents are quick to take your money and make you feel you'll get a good deal. But when it comes time to get deposit back they don't give it back. I've waited 4 months now and haven't received half of what they owe me.
They are all liars and cheaters. Do not go near this place!
