Alwyne is absolutely terrible!! they lack communication and do not respond to emails. Problems reported to them are not actively managed, and nothing is dealt with in a timely matter. AVOID. Will never use these people again. They only want your money, and do not care for customer service.

I am a new tenant with Alwyne and I am incredcibly happy with the support they have provided me when looking for a property all the way through to managing my tenancy. They communicate with me consistantly and are nothing but honest and up front. I would highly recomend using this agents as a tenant and as a landlord.

I sold my property through this agent and felt they were working more in favour of the buyer from start to end. I had a coupIe of silly offers to begin with, never having received any notification of offers in writing, which I understand breaks a rule or two. I accepted an offer at a lot less than my marketing price, and in reflection feel I may have fallen for the oldest trick in the agents book.
I was pressurised from the start as the buyer wanted a quick sale. My timescales were constantly met with 'the buyer is looking at other properties' or ''the buyer will pull out by...' if I didn't return the relevant documents to my solicitor in time or agree the buyers completion date. I can't believe that I fell for this.

Alwyne Estates have been letting and managing property for me for over ten years.
In that time I have never had a problem tenants, the rents are collected and paid on time and the properties have never been empty for more than a couple of weeks. Refurbishment, maintenance and any problems are dealt with swiftly and without necessary expense.
The staff at Alwynes are unfailingly polite and quick to respond. You get a really personal service. When placing tenants they have always been careful to do their research, minimising the kind of risks that I have heard other landlords complain about.
They are reasonable in their terms - should your circumstances change. I would be hard pressed to find an agent I feel more comfortable with - they feel like a bespoke service.Was this review helpful? Yes

I have always found Alwyne Estates to be extremely helpful in all aspects of my tenancy.
Since day one everything has been dealt with professionaly and the staff are always really helpful with any problems I have had.
I would definitely recommend Alwyne to anyone looking for an Agent in N1 and the surrounding areas.

I was impressed with the agents' market knowledge and they were able to achieve quickly lettings which were at the full market price. They undertook viewings as soon as they were instructed to let a property and introduced tenants whose references stood up to all checks.

I have just moved into a flat through Alwyne. The move has gone fine, they were very helpful. I have not had anything bad to report and I am now living in a lovely flat just off Caledonian Road...

We have used Alwyne twice in the last 7 years. We find them the most honest agents in the area. The second property we had with them, there were problems. But this is really because they are the 'middle man' between tenant and landlord. We appreciated all the effort they made in trying to get things fixed or improved, but if the landlord doesn't want to pay then their hands are tied! Decent, honest agents!!!!

Absolutely terrible. No regard for tenants, little to no communication, dishonest about everything.
I believe their strategy is to fob you off until you give up.
Takes months to get anything done if at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Awful service, active disregard for tenants and incredibly slow to respond to concerns. I actually find them to be dishonest in their communication to tenants. Avoid this agency at all costs.

Terrible agency.
They "forgot" to mention the scaffoldings which were to come up on our house about 2 weeks after we moved in and took 2 months to come and fix a window.
