Paul was very professional and helpful even when I had problems with my bank making the deposit transfer! This is the second time I have used Alan Harvey and Paul Goldie and I would use them again and again.

We used Alan Harvey to find a new flat to let for the second time and they have managed our previous property for the last two years.
Paul Goldie took on our recent search and was immediately helpful when we said we wanted to find a new place and kept us updated even if something wasn't immediately available. We asked other agencies but once again, Alan Harvey were the only ones who showed us places that were suitable. Paul has been extremely helpful to deal with while moving out of our former property and into our new flat. He found potential properties that were suitable for our needs and was very amenable when it came to arranging repeat viewings and liaising with landlords about furnishings. He's also a very easy agent to get hold of and was more than happy to take several calls a day when it came to the point of finalising tenancy agreements and deposits.
We've always found Alan Harvey an excellent agency to deal with; the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and, crucially, don't try and blag their way into completing deals. Unlike some of the bigger estate agents, I've always found Alan Harvey's staff to be very trustworthy.
Paul has been hugely helpful through the moving process and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, or Alan Harvey as a whole, for people looking for a trustworthy and useful estate agent.

We moved to overseas and after renting our property for a number of years and having had a few bad tenants / experiences we really wanted to sell. Even though Alan Harvey were also managing our property (and tenants) we explained to them that what we really wanted to do was sell and move on.
Our property had some challenges, the most troublesome being a now 72 year diminishing lease, that turned a lot of potential buyers off. Paul Goldie was very helpful from the day we started looking for a flat. While other agencies never contacted us again, he stayed in touch, and kept me updated of the available flats.
When we decided to put an offer on one, he clearly and patiently introduced the procedures to us and gave us a hand afterwards as well. We were really impressed by the customer care and the way we were treated. (I.e. keeping us updated even via post on the stage of the whole process.)
As a summary, we are really happy with the service provided, and are over the moon with our choice.We've already recommended Alan Harvey to our friend who is looking to move in to a new home later on this year.

I would highly recommend this letting agency. All of the agents provide a high level of service, and Paul Goldie in particular was very helpful in helping us find the ideal flat. He was easily contactable, responded to all of my queries very quickly and really worked to ensure our needs were met. I have used many other agencies in the past and none were as helpful, friendly or efficient as Alan Harvey. Thank you to Paul and Alan Harvey for a seamless flat-hunting experience!

We dealt with Alan Harvey Property Services two months ago and we were extremely satisfied with the quality and professionalism of the service received.
We first contact them around the second week of December and, despite the short notice and our need to find a property within a month, they were extremely helpful.
We were shown two properties within a day and never felt forced to sign while, at the same time, we received every information we requested.
Furthermore, Mr Goldie was extremely friendly, reliable and professional and offered to solve a few minor issues on our behalf.

I have been letting in London for ten years and can honestly say that my latest dealings, with this organisation, have been exemplary. From start to finish I have found the letting agents to be knowledgeable, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Our letting process was completed painlessly in just a few days and throughout we were kept informed of progress and were given timely and helpful advice. The letting agents even showed us around the property on their day off over the Christmas break. Having had some nasty experiences with some of the 'larger' letting agents in London I would unhesitatingly recommend this agency for their outstanding customer services. Alan Harvey were fantastically enthusiastic until they actually got your money then that charisma disappeared. There was also huge confusion when it came to returning our deposit as they were attempting to take over £100 for a cleaner that was never hired. Felt as if they were only after our money and did not care about quality of customer service. Would not rent again and would not recommend.

I found Alan Harvey to be a very helpful and fair letting agent. They were always responsive to any queries or problems in our flat and sought to resolve them quickly. They provided a good level of service and correspondence during both the moving in and moving out phases, with Saida being especially helpful and friendly.

We had about 4 different property managers, the first of whom was epically unhelpful, but Leanne was lovely and very helpful and understanding. The repairs and maintenance were always done on time and any dissatisfaction we had was because the landlady either was not contactable or was not willing to pay for a proper rectification of the damp problem. The lettings team were really helpful in showing us nice places too. the moving in fees were a little bit steep but so are everyone's, and I wouldnt mind recommending them, especially if your property is managed by Leanne! The landlady has however, complained a bit to us about them but that's not from a tenant's point of view so...You could do worse. Just stay away from Ludlow Thompson.

I have been very impressed by Alan Harvey. They are professional and prompt in all their responses and sorting out any problems. Rent is always paid on time, they have organised maintenance to be done on my behalf and got me better rents than what I was achieving when I handled it myself. I feel they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me. They always keep me informed and I have recommended their services to other landlords. I live abroad so it is very important to me that my agent can handle everything.

Saida who looked after our property was extremely efficient and dealt with everything in a professional manner.
However, the lettings team are too agressive in their marketing techniques e.g. when our tenants gave notice they began showing people around our flat without our permission. The management took all the money up front - other agents in the area take 8-10% up front and deduct the remaining management fees every month.

Although i did not end up renting the house on offer i found the negotiators very friendly and approachable. They an answered all my questions and were still very helpful even though i wanted to rent in a different area. If you do use this agency ask for Simon or Aaron.
I was a bit nervous after reading these reviews but as the bad ones were posted years ago i gave them a shot anyway and woudl recommend.

I currently let my property through Alan Harvey and have to say that in my ten years experience as a landlord, I have never come across an agency who have provided such a great service. My property is managed by a young lady called Leanne and I have to say, I am delighted with the service she has provided me with. I am currently living abroad and while some may worry about how their property is being managed while being so far away, I have to say I am 100% confident in Leanne's ability to manage my property. When speaking with her she is professional and courteous at all times, but also caring and reassuring. All of my queries are dealt with efficiently and in a manner that makes me feel valued and confident in her ability. My tenants also sing her praises when we speak. Leanne is a pleasure to deal with. Well done Alan Harvey, you have found yourself a true star

Having rented a flat through the Bow office 3 years ago, I have always received good service. I am leaving the property shortly and a name change has been made to the contract, for which I have dealt with Leanne at the Leytonstone office. Leanne has been more than helpful, always returns calls/emails immediately and is a pleasure to deal with. If I wasn't moving out of the area, I would most definitely have used them to find my new property, but instead am currently dealing with an extremely unhelpful agent from another estate agents!
I can't comment on all the agents at Alan Harvey, but Leanne has been excellent and I would definately reccommend her to anyone.Was this review helpful? Yes

I rented out my property a year ago using Alan Harvey to manage it and have been very pleased with their service. I am an overseas landlord so it is important I have a reliable management company to look after it. They were very patient in answering all my questions on the contract and I have not come across any hidden fees and my rent has been paid on time every month. Amazed at some of these bad reviews. Rented one of there managed properties for two years had no problems except when I had to wait for a part for the boiler which wasn't their fault. They have been helpful throughout and would recommend them to anyone.

Alan Harvey are a disgrace. They have let us a flat with bed bugs that were existing in the property and they knew about it. Customer services Ervin particularly is the most patronising, ill mannered little man I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Warning: never use them unless you fancy being bitten all night

Constantly neglect property with regards to maintenance. Defective boiler, infested with rats and mice which have made holes in the walls, which Alan Harvey refused to fill. House in general disrepair and Alan Harvey customer services is appalling.

 and are pretty honest rather than trying to convince you to up your budget the whole time.
Paul was in constant contact and was really flexible with our working hours. He\'s been really helpful and excellently managed both our checkout and new check in.
As a agency, the management of our previous property has also been good. They generally sort out any issues within a couple days and anything urgent was sorted immediately. They also do 3 month checks of the flat with updated inventories so by the time it comes to leave, wear and tear has been noted throughout the duration of the tenancy.

We had a couple of potential sales fall through, mainly due to the state of the UK market, and some property investors trying it on... during this whole process the sales team, at Alan Harvey BOW, remained extremely positive and explained that they are still showing the property and kept us informed of the progress.
We eventually had another offer which Mark managed to secure us a price that we would except. It was by no means a straight forward sale, due to the relatively low lease. However with many a late night phone call with Mark, Daniel and our solicitor (we are +10hr GMT), we thought the sale was going to fall through again, they managed to negotiate our way through this and we settled a couple of weeks ago.
The professionalism and dedication shown by the Bow sales team is second to none and we\'d highly recommend them to anyone.  begged us to provide information 4 months after we moved out due to them having no records. After a couple of weeks it has turned out that Irvin has been setting up accounts and paying peoples rent into his own account. Today I requested information to prove that the account was not in my name but they hung up the phone. The issue has now been raised to the police who are investigating them for fraud and why the manager has been covering for Irvin. Personally I will never ever use their services again.
They will shaft you at some point!
