George Mawer
About George
Meeting George Mawer for the first time, he is instantly likeable, chatty and knowledgeable, and you can’t help but feel confident in his ability to sell your house and to sell it well. His polished negotiation skills are born from years of listening to and learning from his experienced Branch Manager, Tim Pepper, and, enhanced by his lifetime spent in the locality.
His studies in business and economics at City of Bristol College created a useful base from which to build a successful set of skills in estate agency. Embarking on his career in 2006, George’s potential as a talented negotiator was soon clear and within a few challenging but rewarding years he had been promoted to a senior role. He is now a prominent member of the team, and his dedication, ability and intrinsic local knowledge have helped him to come through the recession with CJ Hole.

I cannot thank George and his team enough for the stress-free sale of my father\'s house. I live in France and my dad was moving into new sheltered housing. The team at Heleaze Road took all the strain and stress and liaised with me by phone and email with ease. I was lucky that a prospective buyer was already on the books of CJ Hole when I first marketed the property, so there was not alot of work to be done re sales/viewings etc. However, George Mawer did work hard at achieving the best possible price for us, and I was kept informed of progress on the sale the whole way through the sales process, especially towards the end when exchange of contracts was imminent.

The overall service was great - the agent was helpful at every turn and looked to push through the sale as quickly as possible. They answered all our questions and facilitated great communication between us and the vendors. They were generally very good and as the property needed a lot of renovation they made sure that they gave us the access we needed for the property pre and post offer so that we could get people in to start getting quotes on the work.

This is a very professional team, right from their initial suggestions as to how to make our flat more marketable, down to liaising with solicitors throughout the conveyancing process. They were always available to sort out the minor issues which arose to take out much of the stress. We found the branch of C J Hole in Henleaze, Bristol extremely helpful when we were buying a property in order to move to Bristol. They were extremely professional but also friendly and approachable. Nick who initially showed us around the property which we later bought did not hurry us in any way but allowed us to take our time, and George handled some tricky negotiations during the course of the sale (just before exchange of contracts there was a big hitch with our buyer) with diplomacy and tact and was a very calming influence throughout. After we moved in, C J Hole even gave us a moving in gift which was delightful and totally unexpected. We felt that it was far from being an impersonal service - George and Nick gave us the feeling that they were really involved and committed to us buying the property & we cannot praise the quality of the customer service we were given highly enough.

I found the staff at the Henleaze branch very professional at every stage of the process of buying a property. I was able to view the property at quite short notice and was given all the information as soon as I asked about the house. The member of staff who showed us around was polite, pleasant, punctual and had good knowledge of the house and area so was able to answer all questions. I was kept well informed at all times and the whole process was made as simple as possible. The staff also had a good relationship with the vendor which made communication between all parties stress free.

Being our first purchase this was a bit of a learning experience; we dealt with several members of the team who were always polite and knowledgeable. Although our (somewhat optimistic) completion date slipped by a week or two this was not down to CJ Hole who, on our behalf, chased solicitors and other agencies to keep things moving along. Repeat viewings with family members were gladly arranged and we never felt rushed. We wouldn\'t hesitate to use CJ Hole in the future.

I purchased a flat through the Henleaze office and was the lowest rung in a five house chain. George and the team did a great job of keeping me informed of progress with weekly, if not daily, updates when needed, as well as chasing me for my information if I was the hold up. Always good to talk to and informative on progress with the chain. Made the whole procedure easy to handle and knew which details mattered; asking me if I would be away during relevant periods, or if I had completed various documentation and surveys. A sound job all round and it was reassuring to know that my agents were on the case and on the end of the phone when needed. Thanks again!

C J Hole were fantastic. This is was my third house sale and it was by far the smoothest. They were polite, efficient, knowledgable and totally honest and straightforward with us. House viewings were always on time, and once we had accepted an offer the process was easy. They answered any questions we had very promptly, even replying to emails on Sunday evenings! I had been house hunting for 2 months and had a difficult time trying to find a house. Other estate agents had not been overly helpful. Then I found a property marketed by CJHole henleaze. Tim answered the phone and although there were back to back viewings already on the house, he re-arranged two appointments to squeeze me in between on a Friday afternoon. I was thankful and as soon as I saw the property I knew I was very interested. I arranged immediately with Tim to visit again and after that I made an offer. Tim and George Negotiated succinctly and I was successful. Nick patiently baby sat me on my visits to meet contractors for the work it needed. I would recommend CJ Hole team (George, Tim and Nick) whole heartedly as they safely saw me through the purchase of a house I love and is perfect for me. They did it in a efficient and professional manner and eliviated many concerns I may have had.

We came to CJHole after a slow start selling our property through a different local agent. The difference in service was remarkable - we had timely feedback after viewings, regular updates without being prompted and we experienced a truely professional service throughout the process. We chose our estate agent carefully, having had valuations from 3 local agents. They all seemed competent but we felt CJ Hole had the edge. We mainly delt with George Mawer who was enthusiastic, professional and always pleasure to deal with but the same could be said for all of the staff. We found an excellent buyer in a reasonable time frame and took George\'s experienced advice when it came to the negotiations. Communication was outstanding throughout and we regularly received emails from the staff after office hours and in one case even after midnight! Our sale couldn\'t have gone better and CJ Hole played a large part in that. I would thoroughly recommend CJ Hole Henleaze to anyone looking to sell in the area.

This is the second time that I have used C.J. Hole, Henleaze. On this occasion I sold a property, have previously bought the same property with this agent. On both occasions my experience was that of a highly professional company, dedicated to providing a customer focused service. In particular I found the professional dedicated and very personable approach of George Mawyer, outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble; I always felt that he acted in my best interest, taking the time to keep me constantly updated with progress reports. We were recommended CJ Hole by a friend who had sold their house the previous year, they offered us a very competitive rate and worked for every penny. I was impressed from the outset with the attitude and efficiency of the Henleaze branch. We own a Victorian terraced house with a few and typical survey issues for a house of its type and in a turbulent and difficult market they worked tirelessly to negotiate a fair price. On 2 occasions the sales fell through, this was due to a nervous market with lending tight and buyers often moving having not achieved a great price for their previous house. I truly believe that under the circumstances they could not have done anymore. After 6 months on the market we decided to let the property through Cj Hole letting and were very pleased with the value and service they also provided. We will undoubtedly return to CJ Hole sales when the time and market is right to sell our property. Thank you chaps.

Everyone at CJHole were very helpful and professional when selling our property recently, but what really impressed us was that George and others went the extra mile in dealing with a very difficult buyer - putting in extra hours and visits and always keeping us informed. The buyer eventually pulled out, and CJHole\'s responce was to get on the phone and find us a new buyer as quickly as they possibly could, which they did and within a week we\'d sold again. They were great - positive and professional - when the times were tough. Thank you guys!

My review is for CJ Hole Henleaze Bristol. I have been fortunately enough to forge a community relationship with them through our local primary school. CJ Hole are an excellent advertisement for estate agents as they are very willing to take part in their community and are prepared to come out to school events even though their children do not attend that school. As an estate agent they are extremely generous towards local schools providing us with very generous raffle prizes which enables our school to raise large sums on our raffles.
